Piedra Lisa

Piedra Lisa are the lovely Spanish words for " smooth stone".   These dramatic rocks are characteristic of the west face of the Sandia Mountains behind Albuquerque.  They are geologically known as "core stones" but I like Piedra Lisa better.

This work will be exhibited in Encantada 2026 at Expo New Mexico--Hispanic Arts Bldg  from Nov 7-29. Hours: Thurs through Sunday 10-5.  If sold before the exhibit, it cannot be picked up until Nov 29.
